In Search of Chihiro

“A la recherche de Chihiro” est une série photographique unique. La série mélange une réalité quotidienne du Japon avec la spécificité graphique du manga japonais afin de recréer l'ambiance de nostalgie du film d'animation "Le Voyage de Chihiro".

Le Voyage de Chihiro est un film d'animation célèbre de Hayao Miyazaki, connu pour promouvoir l'amour de la nature et de la liberté, ainsi que pour sa trame merveilleuse. Cette série cherche à recréer cette ambiance de nostalgie et de merveille qui est au cœur du film.

Dans mes photographies, je capture des scènes de la vie quotidienne du Japon, telles que des voyageurs des trains, des scènes urbaines, des villes parcourues par la tradition et des rues bordées de temples. Les scènes sont capturées de manière réaliste, mais avec des éléments graphiques du monde du manga, tels que des costumes exagérés, des couleurs intenses et des personnages qui apparaissent dans des situations incongrues. Ces personnages ont souvent un air mélancolique et rappellent ceux du film d'animation "Le Voyage de Chihiro".

En combinant la réalité du Japon d'aujourd'hui et des éléments graphiques du manga, j’ai créé un monde à la fois nostalgique et merveilleux. La série "A la recherche de Chihiro" est une œuvre intemporelle qui remet en question l'imagination et fait de la beauté un voyage sans fin.

“In Search of Chihiro” is a unique photographic series. The series mixes a daily reality of Japan with the graphic specificity of Japanese manga to recreate the nostalgic atmosphere of the animated film "The Journey of Chihiro".

Chihiro's Journey is a famous animated film by Hayao Miyazaki, known for promoting the love of nature and freedom, as well as for its wonderful frame. This series seeks to recreate this atmosphere of nostalgia and wonder that is at the heart of the film.

In my photographs I capture scenes from everyday life in Japan, such as train travelers, urban scenes, cities traversed by tradition and streets lined with temples. The scenes are realistically captured, but with graphic elements from the manga world, such as exaggerated costumes, intense colors and characters that appear in incongruous situations. These characters often look melancholic and are reminiscent of those of the animated film "The Journey of Chihiro".

By combining the reality of today’s Japan with the graphic elements of manga, I created a world that is both nostalgic and wonderful. The series "In Search of Chihiro" is a timeless work that challenges imagination and makes beauty an endless journey.
